In addition to our own breeding and training programme, we carefully select and purchase some of Ireland’s finest young horses, ponies and cobs. Each one is schooled on the flat, coloured poles and over cross-country fences, ridden in traffic, and hacked out both in groups and alone, across fields and on the roads. During the hunting season, our horses regularly hunt with the Laois Hunt, gaining valuable exposure and experience.

Our Facilities

Based in the heart of Ireland’s Midlands, our training yard provides everything needed to give each horse the very best start in life. With spacious pastures, top-quality riding facilities, and excellent surfaces, we create an environment where horses can truly thrive. Our dedicated team of skilled riders and staff take pride in their work, ensuring every horse receives the time, attention, and care it deserves.

Gerty Tynan

Gerty was brought up on a farm with horses, cattle and sheep. Her Dad was a horse breeder and so she understood the skills involved in producing young horses and matching them to clients from a young age. Gerty has been involved with Irish Horses all her life.

Transport

Bramhams of Buckingham and Gillies Transport deliver our horses to the UK every week or 10 days depending on sales.

John Brophy Bloodstock Transport International Limited delivers our horses to France, Belgium. Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Poland, Austria and Switzerland
