• King is a 4 year old XL purebred Connemara gelding, he is standing at 15.1hh at present with more to grow.
• He is a one in a million, King is an extremely beautiful Connemara with good bone, he has a very pretty face and an adorable temperament.
• King has a lovely work attitude, he is willing to please and tries his best at all times, he is an honest horse, quiet to ride and suitable for novice, mother daughter share, riding school,…
• He is a talented horse with lots of potential, King has jumped here up to 1m with scope and potential to jump more in the future. He loose schools over 1.20m with ease.
• King is schooled over cross country fences, he takes everything in his stride, he is easy and brave.
• He has a soft snaffle mouth and is easy to ride into an outline, He has three fantastic paces, a lovely trot and comfortable canter. He is a straight mover.
• King has lots of quality, he has the paces and the will to please to become a successful dressage horse, working hunter, showjumper or event horse.
• King is a son of the one and only I love You Melody.

I love you Melody, who has passed away in 2022 covered on average 70 to 80 mares per year and he remains a much sought-after performance stallion. He currently has more than 100 offspring registered with Showjumping Ireland, almost 20 of whom are grade A.

• Kings Dam is Glencarrig Countess who belongs to one of the most successful families in Ireland.

Her Sire is Glencarrig Knight, 3 time Clifden winner and Supreme and Confined Champion 2014. Glencarrig Knight is by Janus. Janus was Pony of the Year in 2004 in Sweden, having won many In-Hand and Dressage and Ridden Championships.  Janus had many successful progeny in Sweden, France and Denmark.

Lightly shown, in ‘06 he was RDS Champion in Dublin and in the same year he also took Championship sashes at Ballyconneely and Oughterard Shows. A top-class Dressage performer, many will have been lucky enough to see Siobhan Cazabon -Sullivan put Janus through his paces in Clifden.  In ’08 he was Midlands Ridden Champion at Annaharvey with fourteen year old Emma O’Toole on board and  Emma had been showing him successfully for what was to be his very last season in 2009.  The pair secured the Reserve Ridden Championship at Galway County Show in June ’09 and  they later won the Supreme Championship in Ardrahan.

Her Dam is Glencarrig Princess, 2 time Clifden winner and Reserve Supreme Champion 2006, Glencarrig Princess is a daughter of Glencarrig Prince.

Glencarrig Prince (1073) was one of the outstanding stallions of the last 20 years. By Cloonisle Cashel, he is a Red Line stallion coming down from a top line that includes some of the best in Dun Lorenzo and Abbeyleix Owen. He had, however, much more of Carna Bobby blood than of any of the above and looked a real Carna Bobby type pony.

Beautifully bred he also bred beautifully. He was Junior Champion in 2000 and Supreme in 2003 for owner breeder Gearoid Curran. Rose of Killola, Carna Dolly, Windy, and the influential Callowfeenish Dolly are some of the wonderful mares in his backbreeding. A special, perfectly proportioned pony that left his mark.
